Bottle 50cl, a clear amber beer. Aroma is very sweet on caramel and toasted barley, classic UK malt profile, hints of spices, spicy hops. Quite common but pleasant.

Jan 2013 - malty with mild rum overtones, some ’old ale’ qualities. It’s pleasant enough to drink. Overall, it’s a better than average british beer.

50 cl bottle @ home. Rated on 19.02.2009
Aroma is sweet and heavy with toffee, some fruity hops, bready malt and hints of alcohol. Flavour has toffee, English hops, some bready malt, alcohol, hay and hints of fruits. Too heavy and sweet, not my kind of ESB.

Bit of a methanol aftertaste, id it rum conditioned? Like that. Anyway not as offputting as Tokyo star or inns & gunners rum conditioned but harsh notes make it rather disappointments

Golden copper coloured with an initial head that doesn’t last long. Has a true bitter character throughout, sweet aroma and slight sweetness in taste.
