sm89walt (168), Norwich and Canterbury, Norfolk, England Feb 4, 2008 A dark amber colour with a rather handsome, slightly off-white head that holds its ground for some time. Highly malty caramel aromas, with a touch of orange zest and a slight nuttiness. A nicely rounded commingling of hop and malt flavours. Lightly caramel and a lightly hoppy bitterness with more nutty characters. Clean finish, heartily quaffable. Most pleasant.
cluny6 (41), Cambridge, England Jul 8, 2008 Updated: Jul 16, 2008Dark amber, clear ale. Fruity and mildly hoppy. This beer is better than any beer found at a green king pub but it’s far from stellar. Average, I give it a C gary07734 (107), Tyne & Wear, England May 19, 2008 Bottled from Supermarket.
