500 ml bottle. Deep copper color with a small frothy beige head with clinging lace. Toasted malt nose has a sharp fruity character. Upfront, more fruity malt with notes of plums and Demerara sugar. Slightly spicy hops in midtaste. Finish is soft and dry. Pleasant and well balanced. A nice example of an English bitter.

Bottle from notes. Pours a clear amber color with a medium sized white head. Aroma was sweet malts, nutty with some fruity and floral hops. The flavor opens with light sweet malts and citrus. Light bitterness soon follows. This seems to have some age on it. Medium bodied, smooth, just not very exciting.

UPDATED: JAN 13, 2015 From the bottle, tulip glass. Just a little bit cloudy, rose wine onion red colour. Metallic aftertaste, which is never good, if you ask me, even when is slight. Almost no head. Fruit and pecan, woody character. Sweet malt dominates. English bitter, probably much better form the cask.

Jewely red color with no head. Aroma of malt and a bit of cherry and ham/pork. Bitter and a bit sour on the front, then malty, then a bit sour and tingly on the end. Flavor is strangely meaty.
