A bit disappointing if I'm honest. Standard aroma but rather bitter tasting and quite weird. Won't be having another one

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Cask at Water House (JDW), Durham, £1.99/pint.
Pours very dark amber/ruby with creamy off white head. Nose is weak but there’s a slightly damp, fruity aroma. Taste opens sharply bitter, giving way to slight sweetness with burnt caramel and biscuit notes. So so.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Herbs and banana glavours are rather dilute but there’s enough there to compliment the rich body to make this an interesting beer. The bitterness of the three hop types makes for a somrwhat unusual but interesting edge.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Clear amber beer with a good creamy head. Light malt aroma. Tangy fruit taste but it doesn’t linger too long, settling into a bittersweet malt flavour. I wouldn’t want a lot of it but it’s nice.

Pint on tap at Palladium, Llandudno. Slight hop aroma. Ruby red beer with small tan head. Creamy mouthfeel with rich roasted malt notes. Finish is short and a little sour. It’s good!
