3.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Apr 2015 - Cask at the Willow Walk JDW. Amber orange, small foamy beige head, sparse lacing. The aroma defies description in its lightness. Body is medium, smooth, touch of carbonation. Taste is soft malts, biscuit, watery liquorice allsorts, soft bitterness. A pleasant, drinkable bitter. Middle of the road.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Clear amber beer with a good creamy head. Light malt aroma. Tangy fruit taste but it doesn’t linger too long, settling into a bittersweet malt flavour. I wouldn’t want a lot of it but it’s nice.

Pint on tap at Palladium, Llandudno. Slight hop aroma. Ruby red beer with small tan head. Creamy mouthfeel with rich roasted malt notes. Finish is short and a little sour. It’s good!

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Cask @ Manchester & County, Manchester. Copper-amber with a thin head. Has lots of sweet malts, so much so it’s fairly sticky in the palate and a touch tangy. Not that exciting.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Cask at The Moon Under Water Watford. Hazed copper coloured pour with a fleeting greyish loose head. Aroma is salty disk water, stale malts and sour apples. Infected me thinks. Flavour is acetone, touch of vinegar, tart granny smith apple, some stale toffee malts. Palate has moderately high tingling carbonation. Very disappointed.
