COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A golden colour, refreshing beer brewed with lager malt and Chinook and Cascade hops, giving a lovely citrus flavour and aroma, which is quite dry and very moreish.

A light, citrus cascade hop bomb, which has a very drinkable mouth feel. Small head that lasts most of the way down the glass. Light enough to be a great session / everyday ale, which I suspect was Bateman’s aim. This beer is seriously refreshing and very, very drinkable.

UPDATED: MAY 31, 2014 Tried at the CAMRA Lincoln beer festival 2014. Not a full rating as drunk as part of a whole day session. More recently tried at the brewery. Golden colour, with creamy head. Citrus aroma, and hoppy citrus taste. Really easy to drink.

Waggon & Horses, York 26 Jan 13. Lys gylden. Lavt skum. OK karamellaroma. Smaken er søt frukt. Litt bitterhet etter hvert. Avslutter syrlig & tørt.

Cask pint at the Cromwell banqueting suite in cleethorpes. Was served in Batemans yella belly glass. Golden in colour, with fantastic creamy head. Tropical flavours come through but not overpowering. A great session ale

Hand pulled at The Parcel Yard, Leicester. My first visit to this place. Beer had a nice gold/amber body. Taste fruity, dry and hoppy. Ginger aroma. Nice start to the trip.

Cask at Shakespeare’s Bristol. Pours pale yellow, no head. Aromas, such as they are, light lemon and hay. Taste is light bitter, light sweet. Palate is light, thin, watery even. Really very little going on.

Cask at Ship Inn (St Cuthbert St), Bedford. Yellow gold with thin creamy head. Aroma very Cascade-y, hints of lemon, grapefruit and wheat. Slightly acrid bitter taste which doesn’t gel with the rest of the presentation. Enjoyable enough but I won’t seek it out again.
