2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Tasted this in the Salt Cot, Saltcoats (JDW) on the 21st August 2015. Cask, handpump dispense. Crystal clear gold in colour with a thin white head which vanished away. Very hoppy aroma with underlying barley sugar notes. Thin resiny mouthfeel and poor lacing. Thin pale malt gives a grapefruit peel flavour strong in the mouth. Strong hops impart a harsh resiny astringency to the palate. Finish is very bitter with dry oak cask and green hops flavours to the fore. This is a poor session Golden Ale.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A light, citrus cascade hop bomb, which has a very drinkable mouth feel. Small head that lasts most of the way down the glass. Light enough to be a great session / everyday ale, which I suspect was Bateman’s aim. This beer is seriously refreshing and very, very drinkable.

Golden in colour, with fantastic creamy head. Tropical flavours come through but not overpowering.
A great session ale
