Appearance- very dark brown, ruby tinged base, a small, beige, fizzy head. Aroma- chocolate, malts, bread, coffee hints, fudge. Taste- bitter, toasty coffee, slightly nutty, chocolate undertones, hints of caramel and honey sweetness, nice smooth and fluffy mouthfeel. Gets more roasty/toasty as it warms. Good overall.

Black in glass, medium head. Mainly coffee and chocolate in aroma. Some roastiness. Quite high carbonation, foamy in mouth. Light bitterness, medium sweetness. Body too light for a stout imo.

Bottle, 500ml. Black pour with a decent sized head that dissipates quickly. A burnt, malty aroma. Flavour is smoky malt with a little cocoa bitterness. A watery finish. Not bad for the low abv.

This rating is for the bottled version which isn’t quite as nice as cask. Pours a very dark copper colour with small dark tan head which doesn’t last long. Smell is dark fruits, slight chocolate, coffee and roasted malt. Taste is mild sweet and medium bitter, a tad watery in body but lingering taste. Decent stout!!
