Bottle from Connollys Wines, Solihull. Poured a dark mahogany colour with a broken tan head. The aroma is malt and peat. The flavour is medium bitter with earthy peaty smoky notes and some liquourice bitter sharpness. A very good stout, but lacks a little flavour IMO.

Dark brown body offwhite head. Aroma is sweet roasted malt, molasses, some chocolate. Flavor issue bit thin and adds some metallic taste. Not the best stout but quite okay.

Papsoe (25131) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAR 3, 2012
Bottle 50 cl. Pours an almost opaque dark brown with a vague orange hue and a small off-white head. Quite some butter in the nose combined with heavy roast. Light body, heavy roast, again some butter with a bitter, roasty finish. Quite enjoyable if not for the roast. 030312

downender (5187) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - FEB 12, 2011
Bottle from ASDA. Dark brown in colour with a tight, tan head. Sweet, caramel, milk chocolate and camp coffee aroma. Flavour was very sweet, with toffee, weak coffee and ash, with some dryish coffee grinds in the finish. Not for me.

Dark mahogany with no head. Aroma of malty burnt toast and treacle. Taste of strong burnt toast. I would prefer it a bit smoother.
