3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Keg, Salamander. No head. Dark brown. Slightly liquoricey dark malt aroma. Liquoricey taste with milk chocolate and light toffeeish accents. A nice mild. Would benefit from being on cask.

3.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
500ml bottle from Waitrose. This may be the new name for Dark Hare. A good, clean and tasty dark beer. Cold filtered, so lacks character, but is pleasant enough. More of a mild than a stout - quite soft, with muted roasted notes. Very enjoyable.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
(Bottle, 0.5 l, at Viking Line Gabriella, 20111114) The beer poured almost black and it was clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had roasted malts, chocolate and ash. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were roasted malts, burnt malts, grass, coffee and bitterness. Aftertaste was dry and had roasted malts and bitterness. Nice and tasty stout despite the low ABV - a bit thin.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
From a bottle. A nice smoky roasted aroma. Taste is unmistakenly a stout but not too powerful although a smokey note stays throughout.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
(Bottled) Very dark cola-brown with a lemonadey, quickly and completely fading head. The aroma is sweetish, rye-puddingy and roasty malt with some licorice hints. Roasted-malty, slightly sour, earthy and salty-licoricey flavor with medium bitterness, some dark fruitiness, and a dry-ashy, mildly bitter finish. Light to medium-bodied, medium-carbonated palate. Smooth and roasty, but not that interesting - even as a session beer.
