Pours hazy amber with a single finger cream coloured head. Aroma of toasty malts, biscuit, dark fruits, citrus. Taste is much the same. Run of the mill.

On tap at the Bowl Inn, Almondsbury. Deep amber, with a small foamy head. Aroma of butter and bread. Taste has nice malt and caramel, with a bitter finish.

Cask @ The George, Backwell, Bristol. Hazy amber with a small off white head that laces nicely. Aroma is biscuity malts with a touches of dark fruits and citrus hops. Palate is light and softly carbonated with similar flavours to the nose finishing with a medium hop bitterness. Another fine English real ale.

Cask at JDW Balham. Pours an amber colour with a slightly off white head. Aroma is biscuity, bready, malty with a little lemon. Light body, mild carbonation. Fairly sweet with caramel, a little ginger cake, orange, a bit if lemon. OK.

Cask at The Spectre. Pours clear dark amber with a medium, creamy off-white head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is toast and nutty malt with earthy hops. Flavor is malt and hop balanced with light diacetyl, medium bitterness and a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.
