Cask in the Marlborough Head W1. Light golden colour with an orange-brown tint. Lightly malty background, supports a spicy ginger taste. Dryish finish. You have to like ginger of course, but I rather enjoyed this, a nice spring/summer ale.

Gingerness in the aroma, but not overly pleasant, and neither is its spicy taste.

Cask at JDW Feltham. Slightly hazy with a middling white head, strong aroma of ginger but the palate is less in-your-face and more floral and spicy. Dry and gingery finish.

Cask Conditioned Handpump Red Well Wellingborough. A blonde beer with a whitish head and lacing. A good ginger aroma and taste with a nice amount of heat. The base beer has good body and gives its own flavour so as not to be dominated by ginger. Pretty decent.

Cask conditioned at a Wetherspoons. Gold with white head. Dry and particularly spicy, not too much depth to the body of the beer but as a carrier for the spice it works well enough.
