Cask Conditioned Handpump Red Well Wellingborough. A blonde beer with a whitish head and lacing. A good ginger aroma and taste with a nice amount of heat. The base beer has good body and gives its own flavour so as not to be dominated by ginger. Pretty decent.

Cask conditioned at a Wetherspoons. Gold with white head. Dry and particularly spicy, not too much depth to the body of the beer but as a carrier for the spice it works well enough.

[Cask at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading] Pale amber-copper, moderate white head, slight prickly fizz. Ginger is certainly the domninant flavour, but not overwhelmingly so, and it’s not too hot and spicy either. The underlying beer still shows through, and it’s as decent a beer as you’d expect from this often impressive brewery. Superb balance between the ginger & the beer - really enjoyed this.
