Cask conditioned at The Royal Blenheim, Oxford. Gold with white head. A heady blast of caramel, toffee right from the start, quite drying on the tongue but with a sweetish edge. Some late fruitiness. It’s ok.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 harrisoni (10069) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - DEC 27, 2008
Cask handpull at Humphrey Bean JDW, Tonbridge. Gold, thin white head. Aroma of diacetyl. OK im mouth, creamy, then ok hop on finish, but just full of butterscotch. Oh dear. Diacetyl all over it. Im guessing I will probably like it, if I can find a non diacetyl barrel some where. Pretty undrinkable for me. 1.6 out of 5 Rerate at County Hotel, Ashford. I wanted to have this again, as the times I had it before, it was full of diacetyl. Still a little bit of butter, but good condition in mouth, good bitter hop. Drinkable golden bitter, just a bit too buttery still.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 fiulijn (10383) - Como, ITALY - DEC 13, 2008
Cask Conditioned at J.D. Wetherspoon - The Pommeler´s Rest, London Hazy golden color, frothy head. It has some malt aroma, and good malt flavor, good body strength. The hop is a bit citrusy, more evident in the aroma. It has a balanced final, with sweetish toffee and bold bitterness.
3.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 bobinlondon (1179) - Harrow, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 1, 2008
Handpulled cask at JDW Hatch End, Harrow. Light gold with a good white head. in good fresh nic. Well balanced with buiscuity malt and citric hops. Not bad.
1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 MesandSim (7109) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 28, 2008
A Mes rate: cask at Baker Street ’Sporks. Clean gold with a white rim at the edges. The aroma is full of diacetyl and doesn’t bode well for the rest of the experience. Sadly it goes even further downhill. Fruit, diacetyl, bread and metal. Far from tasty. Could well have been ruined by McSpoons (and who would doubt it?) but all I can do is call it as I see, smell and taste it.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 hughie (3992) - Bedford, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - NOV 27, 2008
Cask at The Moon Under Water (JDW), Milton Keynes in Wetherspoons BF ’08. though well after the official close of the festival. Gold with a white head. Unusual earthy carroty malt aroma, which continues in the taste, along with a biscuity background and some bitterness.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 yespr (22161) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - NOV 26, 2008
From cask at Standing Order. Pours clear and golden yellow with a small and lacing white head. Mild butterish and slight spiced aroma. Flavour has the same with a mild roasted note along with a light dryness. Bitter and slight malty finish.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 downender (4380) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - NOV 21, 2008
UPDATED: DEC 9, 2008 Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms JDW, Bristol November 2008. Deep golden with a decent off-white head. This wasn’t in good condition, marred by a buttery aroma which dominated the grassy hops. The flavour started with a butterscotch kick before the hops tried to come to the rescue...and failed. Poor.
