Clean gold with a white rim at the edges. The aroma is full of diacetyl and doesn’t bode well for the rest of the experience. Sadly it goes even further downhill. Fruit, diacetyl, bread and metal. Far from tasty. Could well have been ruined by McSpoons (and who would doubt it?) but all I can do is call it as I see, smell and taste it.

4.4% gold colour with no head, sweet slightly scented aroma, zesty citrus taste.

Tasted this in The Last Post, Paisley (JDW) in November 2008. Cask, handpump dispense. Fresh green apples and citric hops in the short aroma. Clean mouthfeel and good lacing throughout. Pale malts gives a honeydew and kiwi fruit note. Elderflower cordial in the aftertaste gives way to citric hops which continue into the long fruity finish. A superb blond ale from the Bath portfolio.

Bottle 500ml.
Clear medium yellow colour with a small, fizzy, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, pale malt, toffee, butter. Flavour is moderate sweet and light moderate bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20110819]

Botella. Unclear golden colour. Grain sweet fruit aroma. Ok mouthfeel. Flavour: Grain sweet caramel fruit like flavour, mild bitterness.

Bottle. A clear, golden beer with a small, white head. Rahter buttery nose with fruityness. Quite buttery on the palate too, with some fruityness and a pleasant bitterness. Medium body. Some bitterness in the finish. A very boring one, and not very good either. Might be interesting to try fresh from cask. 110819

Bottle @ FOneFan. SLightly hazy golden with small white head. Flavour malt, butter, sweet, herbal, hops and a little bitter.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Medium head with medium duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are butter, malt and hops.

Bottle @ Danish Summer Gathering, Ulfborg 2011. Pours clear golden with a bubbly off white head. Maadd butter all over. Thin. Undrinkable. .

Bottle from Waitrose. Pours golden amber with a slight off-white head. Aroma is floral over some sort of deeper spicy? thing. Flavor is malty and hinting oak astringency. It’s nicely bitter. Gets quite floral as things come along. Very flavorul for a "light" ale.

Cask. The Globe, Leicester. Tight white head. Clear gold body. Hop, biscuit, caramel. Bitter. Dry finish.
