Mungo (2474), Southampton, Hampshire, England Apr 29, 2008 Draught @ Salamander, Bath. Grassy herbal hops and a reasonably firm malt backbone. Not bad despite being overly cold and carbonated, if not the cleanest finish. mabel (1673), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Dec 24, 2007 [680-20070924] Keg @ Royal Oak (Bath, SM). Metallic smelly yeast aroma. Slightly hazy, pale yellow body with a medium bubbly white head. Tastes like asparagus. Bubbly light body. Not great, not bad, just boring. DownsouthGav (602), Greater London, England Oct 9, 2007 Cask in Bath somewhere!
Nose is of grass and hops. Pours a yellow colour beer. Some carbonation. Taste is a bit weak compared to other Bath ales. But then this is a lager. As it is it wasn’t bad there were some spciy elements to savour. downender (1618), Bristol, Gloucestershire, England Jun 10, 2007 330 ml bottle. Yellow with moderate carbonation and slight white head. Aroma of pleasant floral hops followed by some muted herb flavours and a sweet finish which was a bit overpowering given that what came before was rather subtle. Rates above most Euro lagers, but doesn’t really come together. johndoughty (1681), cheslyn hay, West Midlands, England Mar 17, 2007 Having tried some of this brewers beer before and found them all very good this was a real let down. Poured from the bottle it was flat and lifeless. although it has a clean taste there is not a lot of flavour to get to grips with. Not what I had expected and look forward to drinking.
