Commercial Description:
Cask; Regular.
This brew uses pale lager malt which gives it a wonderful golden hue. This is complemented by using a dwarf variety hop (First Gold) which imparts a prodominently citrus aroma. It is dry without harshness, crisp and full flavoured, a hugely refreshing bitter.

Cask at Banker’s Draft (JDW), Bedford. Pale gold with a very small white head. Hoppy aroma and citric taste. Easy drinking golden, not very exciting. Some bitterness. 13.8.07 Cask at White Bear, Shipston-on-Stour, Warwickshire. Rated 5,4,5,4,12:3.0. 7.10.09 Cask at Pilgrims Progress (JDW), Bedford. Farmyardy aroma with hops. Cask handpull at Moon Under Water, Leceister Square, JDW. Paleish gold, lasting white head. Light citrus aroma. Some sweaty sox hop. Toasty, hoppy aroma, good balance in mouth. I have a soft spot for Bath beers and this is good. Bit of peach. Lovely fruity bitter. Great in mouth. Peach/grapefruit is very good. Good beer, bit like a Belgian triple without the alcohol.

A Mes rate: Cask at JDW. Dusty grapefruit aroma. Very metallic flavour. Pretty poor to be honest.

Cask conditioned at the Inn on the Green, Bristol 25/4/07. Pale gold with almost no head. Some gentle hops in the aroma followed by flavours of apples and citrus. Not bad as a session beer.

Cask conditioned @ Giddy Bridge (JDW), Soton. Despite the slightly dodgy wetherspoon condition and cold temperature it was still possible to see that this is pretty good. Light citrus hop and malt flavours. Crisp and clean with a refreshing bitter finish. Would love to try in better condition.

Cask, The Last Plantagenet, Leicester. Hazy gold with a small head. Aromas are biscuit and caramel malts with fresh hops and lemon. Flavours are light malts with dry fresh hops. Zesty with a dry, bitter finish. A nice session beer.

Cask at The Regal, (Wetherspoons pub) Gloucester 02-09-06. Golden beer with hoppy aroma, tasted both fruity and hoppy, slightly dry but pretty good beer.
