COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Regular.
This brew uses pale lager malt which gives it a wonderful golden hue. This is complemented by using a dwarf variety hop (First Gold) which imparts a prodominently citrus aroma. It is dry without harshness, crisp and full flavoured, a hugely refreshing bitter.

(cask) pours a hazy golden colour with a frothy white head. aroma of banana skins, light butter and raisins, with a hint of herbal hops and vanilla. flavour is mostly pale malts and straw, with more butter, raisins and a medium-bitter finish. light to medium-bodied with soft carbonation.

Dirty street light clear yellow, slightest ring head. Creamy straw nose, kinda signature Bath comfort to it. Decent biscuity initial taste, slight nutmeggy cream before a more ginger crunch creeps in. Very smooth citrus creep, lemon drizzle on the finish ultimately springboardeded by the lager malt which is noticeable on a touch dry finish.

Draft at the Old Contemptibles, Birmingham. Poured a light amber with a bubbly white head and some broken lace. The aroma is grassy and slightly malty. The flavour is medium bitter, somewhat sharp, with hints of butter, toffee and caramel. The bitterness lingers into the aftertaste which is almost mandatory for a pale ale to deliver a really unusual and refreshing ale. Hats off to Bath Ales for daring to be different.

Nice bead but little aroma. Distinct flavour of honey and malt and a rather oily palate which hardly makes it the most refreshing beer of its gravity. OK but don’t go a bundle.

Cask by handpump at Drum & Monkey, Glasgow - clear golden, thin off-white head, no lacing, mild fruity, malty aroma, mild citrus, fruity, caramel malt flavour, fairly standard golden ale but quite flavoursome for the low alcohol content

MInicask. Aroma is of honey and and malt with a very slight hint of citrus. Appearance is strawish yellow and clear (if you let the minicask settle long enough) Theres just the right amount of preasure in the minicask and it usually pours with a nice thick creamy head. Taste is quite malty but the citrus is a little more apparant. Very refeshing beer this and great to have at a summer BBQ- which you will need as the brewery doesnt do it in bottles so you’ll ned mates to help.

Tasted this in Tennents Bar, Glasgow in March 2006. Cask, handpump dispense. Pale straw in colour with a thin white head. Fragrant floral hops and fresh cut grass in the lingering aroma. Thin but refreshing mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malt gives a digestive base with citric lemon and green apple notes. Spicy hops present in the dry bitter aftertaste. Finish has a sweet honeyed flavour. An excellent blond ale from Bath.
