3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
My Bottom Line:
Floral hops and biscuit-y malt angles lead to leafy hop bitterness in this predictable but nonetheless very friendly Golden Ale.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam covers the bright honey gold.
-Drinkability is through the roof.
-All flavours are clearly expressed.
-Flavor dosage is meant for long evenings of conversation, not high impact sips.
-Malts are nicely developed, as in every Bath Ales brew I’ve had.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cask, handpump @ The Grove, Exmouth, Devon. Nice pub off the beach, nice beer, gigantic seagulls!! Faintly misty in the glass, sunny amber body with a mostly lasting, loose pad of white donning it. Piercing nose reminiscent of damp weeds, camphor, stinging nettles and vine clippings with a hint of lemon and chamomile. The hops hit first in the mouth, bold, very peppery and herbal like dry herbs with the chamomile showing. Moderately bitter, the aroma comes through as it drops off very dry. In fact it is very dry in general. Draws on the saliva making it parching yet extremely refreshing. Just enough citrus in there for flavour, straw-like pale grains across the mid-palate show more and more. The body light, almost delicate and it yielded a slightly spritzy residual carbonation that made it bounce. I like this one, perfect for the Summer that Devon offered up, 4 seasons in one day! Nice stuff.

Cask at the Southampton Arms, London on 2nd June 2015. Copper with a disappearing off-white laceless foam. Malty aroma with fruity hops. Very malty in-mouth with plenty of caramel and a little nuttiness - hazelnut. Malty and nutty finish. Light bodied with a smooth mouthfeel.

UPDATED: SEP 3, 2012 Cask, handpump at The Crown, Charlton-on-Otmoor, Oxfordshire Sunday 2nd September 2012 Mid gold with decent clarity, in fact this looks v.good, there is also a goodly sized drop of foam atop. Taste is fruity with a pleasant bitterness. Enjoyed this summer quaffer and had a pint and a half of it. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov13 3.3

Cask @ The North Pole. Pours clear light amber with a small white head. The nose is light apricot, some sweet baked bread, mild grain. Simple. The taste is summer fruits, light citrus, sweet pale malt. Mild bitter finish. Light body, soft carb. Decent. A nice, simple beer. Not taxing. Would be good with food etc.
