A great golden beer with a fresh citrus, hoppy aroma. This wonderful wholesome organic ale has a dry and bitter finish which brings you right back to earth.

[Bottle from ASDA] Pale gold with a moderate head. Floral, notes of wet leaves, citrus, earthy. Light and citric on the palate, dry.

Filtered bottle. Golden coloured with a slight white head. Plenty of hoppy, grapefruit aromas. Citrus hops continue in the flavour, supported by some fruity malt. Finish was long and dry. One of the best British bottled beers I have had.

ante (3374) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - APR 12, 2007
Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm. Hazy golden with a white frothy head. Vague aroma of lemon, soap and raw yeast. Medium-bodied with flavours of straw, soap and grapefruit. Finishes really dry of grapefruit and grass.

A Mes rate: Gravicask @ Planet Thanet. Dusty old hops and malt. Like an old pub that has seen many years of action. Lovely vanilla malt in the mouth. Good balance. Interesting and tasty.

Cask at GBBF 2006. A dark yellow beer with a rim of beige head. The aroma is very lightly hoppy, while there is much more power in the flavor, with strong notes of aroma hops which gives it notes of grass - as a really fresh hoppy beer. The end has an OK bitterness to it.

DruncanVeasey (7134) - NUNEATON, Top 13, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - MAR 13, 2007
Bottled. Hopsack snout with a sniff of green apple. Lagery gold pour with white froth. Opens with some caramel maltiness, develops a soapy citrus bitterness and finishes with a punishing dryness. Bitterness units off the scale. Leaning towards an intensely bitter, fruity German Pilsener. But that overstated quinine-bitter finish is more shampoo than hop, and ruins any balance or complexity this beer may aspire to.

Bottle. Yellow/gold hued with lasting thin white head. Faint citrus nose. Full & juicy on the palate, good citric hop presence and something vaguely metallic. Very dry, dusty bitter finish.

Gravity, Merton BF. Yellow gold with a touch of off-white bubbles. Aroma of berry sweetness, a little fresh cut grass. Slightly chewy berry hop flavor, a touch of malt sweetness. Solid beer, but for me it somehow manages to be slightly less than the sum of its parts. (Really funny to see "chewy" in Glennís rating too. I didnít discuss tasting notes...really!)

Cask conditioned at Merton Beer Fest 07. Light gold in colour with fine white head. Good full flavoured bitter with plenty of citrus hops notes and yes everyone, quite chewey (Steve Mathews I belive) in the amount of flavour. Dry and fruity finish, a very good British beer, well done Bath.
