2.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 bluekuma (94) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 27, 2007
Bottle. Yellow/gold hued with lasting thin white head. Faint citrus nose. Full & juicy on the palate, good citric hop presence and something vaguely metallic. Very dry, dusty bitter finish.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Doppelganger (1383) - Dry County, Arkansas, USA - FEB 19, 2007
Gravity, Merton BF. Yellow gold with a touch of off-white bubbles. Aroma of berry sweetness, a little fresh cut grass. Slightly chewy berry hop flavor, a touch of malt sweetness. Solid beer, but for me it somehow manages to be slightly less than the sum of its parts. (Really funny to see "chewy" in Glenn’s rating too. I didn’t discuss tasting notes...really!)

Cask conditioned at Merton Beer Fest 07. Light gold in colour with fine white head. Good full flavoured bitter with plenty of citrus hops notes and yes everyone, quite chewey (Steve Mathews I belive) in the amount of flavour. Dry and fruity finish, a very good British beer, well done Bath.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 rauchbier (3203) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - JAN 7, 2007
Bottle, from ASDA. Gold, thin but lasting white head and gentle condition. Good earthy citrus and floral hop aromas, quite dry and citrusy in the mouth with a slight yeastiness and bitter hops that linger into the finish.
3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 TheGrandMaster (2313) - Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - JAN 2, 2007
Bottle, pours a clear golden colour with a thin white head and some carbonation in the glass. A slightly citrus hoppy aroma I find common in a lot of organic golden ales. An easy mouthfeel and a smoothness that is a little buttery. Slightly hoppy, but pretty low on any flavours, and just a touch of bitterness in the finish, which leaves a little bit of citrus in the mouth. Nothing too special for me, though did get better through the glass.

Bottle: the commercial description is spot on - a golden beer, traces of white head;hoppy aroma; citrus taste; bitter finish. My favorite style, and an excellent example.

UPDATED: MAY 8, 2007 Well this is a re rate and I must say I got it wrong last time or a dodgy bottle. Extremely clear golden colour. Thin white fizzy head. Citrus fruit flavours with a bitter finish. Clean taste. Over still the same score as last time but total better. Improved.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 scotty (904) - SCOTLAND - DEC 3, 2006
Good light colour, but head is nought but a patchy thin layer of white bubbles. A big fruity/hoppy nose, very appealing! Fairly full bodied with a powerful hop character, the slightly sweet malt is subdued but still gives a good overall balance. A nice pint, but let down by poor head retention. Asda,bottle..obviously!
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 maeib (6618) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - NOV 28, 2006
Bottled. A light golden coloured beer with a nice white good sized head. The aroma is fruity, hoppy and a little soapy/shampoo and toffee. The taste is quite bitter with good citrus fruit. Doesn’t taste wonderfully fresh and has a soapy charcter and some more toffee or maybe even diacetyl, but still pleasantly drinkable.
