A great golden beer with a fresh citrus, hoppy aroma. This wonderful wholesome organic ale has a dry and bitter finish which brings you right back to earth.

Nice aroma, fruity, buttery and lightly hoppy.. Moderately malty taste with a nicely hoppy finish. Creamy mothfeel but maybe has a tad bit too much carbonation. Earthy stuff, very sessionable and packs a lot of flavor.

Bottled (BB 01/2010). Clear golden color, small white head. Grapefruity and apple fruity, hayish hoppy nose with hints of balsa wood. Lemon, green apples amd pears in the flavor ... cidery. Finish has grapefruity bitterness. Short dry finish. Flat mouthfeel. Original.

Bottled. Golden, tiny disappearing white head. Straightforward fresh grass and grapefruit nose, hint of green pepper and toffee. Pretty dry, bitter flavor, mucho citric and grassy hops, zesty and overpowering peppery bitterness. Little biscuit malts. Kinda numbing hoppiness, organic is always a plus though.

(Bottled) Clear, deep golden with a small, firm and white head. Sweetish and fresh aroma of lemon and honey. Pale-malty flavor with moderate, grassy hop bitterness, and sour-sweetish lemony hints. Lingering, dry and bitter-grassy finish. Light to medium body with medium carbonation. A reasonably fresh and enjoyable summer ale, with maybe a touch of harshness in the hops. A British pale ale ale meets Northern-German pils.

Cask (Salamander,Bath) - Golden in colour. Honey in the aroma which is also lightly hoppy and fruity. Fairly hoppy and bitter at first, the taste then becomes more fruity with some grapefruit in the finish.

Bottle, Renatos Pizza joint, Bristol ; (was pleasantly surprised to see Orval in their fridge) Poured a golden colour with an off white head that didn’t linger. Aroma was a fragrant mix of citrus and hop, wee bit of grassiness too. Well poised this fella, with malt and hops tangling nicely to make this a drinkable effort. Dry bitter hop finish. Niice.
