Cask (handpump) @ GBBF 2007, London. Clear medium yellow orange color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toffee, butter. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is creamy, carbonation is flat.

Cask at GBBF 2006. A dark yellow beer with a rim of beige head. The aroma is very lightly hoppy, while there is much more power in the flavor, with strong notes of aroma hops which gives it notes of grass - as a really fresh hoppy beer. The end has an OK bitterness to it.

(Bottle 50 cl) Slightly hazy golden with a lively, white head. Malty aroma with a fruity touch. Medium body, a little low in carbonation with a good malt base and very pleasant, fruity accents. Dry and fairly bitter finish. 110208

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a huge white head. Light cornish and slight caramelish aroma. Roasted and malty flavoured. Light metallic and cornish flavoured. Bitter and dry finish. Light cornish finish. Solid bitter and dy into the far finish.

Cask@GBBF2007. Yellow colour, not much head. Aroma is eggs, fruits, very bitter and sour. Flavour is strong fruity hops along with some banana, yeast and grapefruits. Grapefruits dominate the finish.

UPDATED: APR 24, 2006 Cask at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Clear golden. Orangey nose with estery peach and marmelade. Sweet with firm, rounded mouthfeel. Sugary, lightly fruity and very hoppy with intense resiny bitter finish. Very flavourful and solid.

Bottle at Nya Tröls, Malmö. Cloudy amber coloured with a small white ehad. Fruity aroma of malts and caramel with notes of cookies. Fruity flavour of malts, caramel, hops and grass. Dry hoppy finish.

500ml bottle from Asda. Old gold/copper colour with lasting rocky off white head. Attractive hop aroma. Quite intense for a UK beer, bit of sherbert, woody grapefruit. Malts are pretty good, some juicyness, but this beer is all about the grapefruit hops. Really rather nice. Something like an APA. On of the best aromas of any UK bottle beer IMO. I can see why others have rated it so highly. I like the intense hops and balancing malts.

Bottle. Pours a hazy golden color with a longlasting off-white head. Fruity bready aroma with some hoppy hints. Sweet malty fruity and slightly bready flavor with some hoppy hints. Sweet malty finish with some bitterness in the aftertaste.

Bottled (BB 01/2010). Clear golden color, small white head. Grapefruity and apple fruity, hayish hoppy nose with hints of balsa wood. Lemon, green apples amd pears in the flavor ... cidery. Finish has grapefruity bitterness. Short dry finish. Flat mouthfeel. Original.
