Bottled. A light golden coloured beer with a nice white good sized head. The aroma is fruity, hoppy and a little soapy/shampoo and toffee. The taste is quite bitter with good citrus fruit. Doesn’t taste wonderfully fresh and has a soapy charcter and some more toffee or maybe even diacetyl, but still pleasantly drinkable.

Cask (handpump) at The Hop Poles, Bath. More pale amber than gold in colour. Loose, but lasting, white head. Touches of fruit in the aroma. Smooth and soft on the palate. Restrained flavour with hints of citrus. Pleasant enough but certainly didn’t have the zing that others have remarked upon. I’d guess think this was probably a bit tired, which is not really acceptable when served in the brewery’s own pub. Since its now available in bottle (albeit filtered) I’ll probably get the chance to re-rate; its hard to find on draught.

Gravicask @ Planet Thanet. Dusty old hops and malt. Like an old pub that has seen many years of action. Lovely vanilla malt in the mouth. Good balance. Interesting and tasty.

Cask, Birmingham Fest 05. Golden with a bubbly head. Aromas are caramel malts with sweet pine and grapefruit and some addicitve saltiness. Flavours are sweet malts followed by lots of sweet lemon. Pretty fruity with grapefruit bitterness towards the finish. Quite smooth on the palate until more bitternes comes through. Has pleasant alcohol on the aftertaste. A very good beer.

Poured golden in colour, lovely fresh nose with aroma vanilla notes this is a crisp, fresh hoppy beer, with great fruity citrus flavours particularly grapefruit zinginess Loz chose this purely for the hare on the front, but she chose one of my favourite beers of the week.
Cask conditioned gravity dispense at Merton Winter Beer Festival 17-02-07. Also great in cask format as one would expect nice light golden colour, plenty of flavour in this fresh fruity bitter excellent. also 3.9 in cask
