On cask at Vine, Brierley Hill. Pours chestnut with off white head. Quite a sweet well balanced traditional Black Country mild. Very smooth on the palate and a cracker. Bostin ay it.

Godís beer, deep chestnut colour with a creamy off white head, deep fruit and biscuit aroma, A proper black country mild. Born and Bread since 1877. Marvelous.

On gravity at the Somerset Real Ale Festival, Minehead 7/9/2013. Medium brown with a slight of an off-white head. Hazelnuts, milk chocolate, brown sugar and a touch of berry fruit before a very gentle finish. Very drinkable.

Cask at The Swan,Chaddesley Corbett.Poured brown with a beige head which lasted to the end of the pint..Sweet malt aromas.Malt in the taste with caramel.This is a smooth drinking,tasty mild which has always been a favourite of mine from the mid 70ís onwards.

Off-dry, medium body and bitterness, balanced CO2.
Malt, caramel, chocolate, ashes, toffee, honey, yeast, plums.

Cask@foxandgrapes, Pensnett, Brierley Hill. Brown with medium beige head that slowly disapates. Aroma of sweet malts. Taste is malty with caramel and a touch nutty. Dry finish. I am a Bathams fan and consider this one of the best milds around.

Cask at the Bull and Bladder, Brierley Hill. Pours dark orange brown with a small head. Aroma is sweet, cake and bread. Taste has a sweet raisin start with a sweet, yeasty bready finish. Some dark berries also.

Bathams Mild is another one of my favourites. The Plough at Shenstone is the best place to get a fabulous pint of mild. Although not as strong as the bitter the mild is still a fantastic drink.

Cask, Chelmsford Beer Festival 2010. Small head, murky body, hay caramel and bread. Flowers and lime in the hops. Toffee and cinamen. Oily texture. Short finish. Average mild.

Hand pulled at the Britannia, Gornal. Copper/ruby colour. Proper, soft nutty flavour. Nutella, choc brownie. Soft, soft. Smooth genuine Mild, served in sensational condition.
