This one was hard to rate due to every bottle erupting upon opening (the beer was ready to jump into the glass). Hazy orange-amber pour into thick foamy beige head that slowly fades into melting lacing, leaving behind a thin layer of foam. Aroma of roasted pecans, pumpkin, and allspice. Initial flavor of vanilla that slowly falls into a pumpkin patch with a bit of spicy kick in the finish. Like the bottle says: "This is what pumpkin pie wants to be when it grows up."

[Bottle] I was surprised to find a bottle at this time of the year, but they are still around. Pours a hazy orange color with a white head. Some sediment and yeast in there as well. Hearty aroma of pumpkin pie, nutmeg, cinnamon and sweet caramel. Solid, natural pumpkin taste is pretty dominant here. Not overwhelming, but less subtle than most pumpkin beers. Spices including nutmeg and ginger blend together with vanilla, clove and caramel. Average mouthfeel and appropriate carbonation levels. This is a solid Fall beer. And it’s good to see it around at various places out of season too.

Bottle. Hazy amber/ frothy beige head. Nice pumpkin flesh, pie spice, nutty roasty aromas. Light frothy mouthfeel. Good pumpkin pie spicy flavors with malty bready buttery pie crust.

Very festive brew. I loved the aromas. I almost expected the pumpkin to be overwhelming, but it was just about right. The spices were also very well balanced. Nice lacing. Very nice.

Aroma has nice notes of spice (cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, vanilla) and pumpkin. Flavor is a nice balance between the pumpkin, and the spices (see aroma). Its nice to see a pumpkin ale actually use pumpkin (and not just the spices) and use it effectively. Great fall brew!
