COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Right from the start crisp hops and hints of fruit compete to thrill the senses. Rich malt fallows, sweeping away hop bitterness with complex strokes of toffee and malty sweetness. The finish is crisp and clean. Company man intrigues the palate from start to finish, never letting one element dominate the next. This beer is an occasion all its own. Enjoy!

Nice thick fluffy head...nice golden red in color...you can smell the freshness, the crispness in the hops and the citrus fruits...There’s a little grapefruit on the tongue, followed by a slight malty, toffee sweetness. It finishes real crisp, clean and quick. Excellent if you don’t want something too heavy, or if it’s a warm day, for sure. One of the best things about Edmond these days is the fact that Battered Boar is being brewed right down the street.

American Pale that drinks more like an IPA. A decent beer, but a little malty and way too sweet for me.

Bottle - named as a "pale ale", but on the label says American IPA - definitely more like an IPA. Great hop flavor, good balance, nice dark amber color, good foamy head. Pleasantly surprised, very good beer!

Bottle. The first 8 minutes consisted of a steady stream of foam rising from the bottle. What was left had a hazy amber color. Aroma and flavor were blurred by the tell tale signs of infection. Only small hints of caramel malt and fruits. This was not good.

I had to mop the counter and floor after opening and pouring this one. I’m not sure what’s going on with it, but I won’t be buying any more.

Appearance: This beer set a daring, new precedent for overall gush time. Many a noble paper towel was sacrificed in the clean-up effort. Minutes later, a highly hazed, dark amber body with a tall, off-white head was poured from the remaining beer that didn’t end up on the table, the floor, and my formerly nice, clean pants. Smell: Smells like a Brett-dosed pale ale, with notes of pale malts, bread, light caramel, haunted house cobwebs, antiseptic, and soiled hotel linens. Taste: Same. You know, maybe they could put a positive spin on this and take things the Jolly Pumpkin route. Just a thought. Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Nothing but endless fizz and foam on the carbonation side. Drinkability: Ugh. I’ve been told "Safety is Job One," but maybe these Company Men need to focus a little bit more on quality assurance. Let this serve as a warning to future consumers as well as a stern, furrowed brow "ahem" to the folks at Battered Boar.
