[Cask at GBBF 2005] A hazy orange beer with a fast dying head. The aroma is sweet spicy - with ginger coming thru. The flavor is sweet - too sweet in my opinion - with some estery notes, leading to a dry end.

Cask conditioned at The Hole in the Wall, Waterloo, London. Orange amber beer with slight whispy head. Perfectly drinkable hoppy light session bitter with hints of grapefruit and a floral hoppy nose. Dry and bitter, an enjoyable beer.

Surprisingly, although this brewery has been going since 2001 and is based (as am I) in London, I had never seen this in a pub before. Microbreweries in London have a pretty appalling survival record, so I wish this one every success. Unfortunately, it was not served in peak condition. I would guess that the pub has been having problems s with its cellar as, of the six handpumps, only three were in use and my companion's pint of Everards Tiger was undrinkable. My Battersea bitter was served very warm and tasted rather dull and lifeless. However, even off condition, it seemed a respectable, sweetish bitter majoring on malt, rather than hops. Must re-rate if I get a chance to sample elsewhere. Hole in the Wall, Waterloo, London, September 2003

Cask conditioned - handpump - GBBF 2004. A mid brown bitter with a biscuity straw-like smell. A very bitter nasty taste almost with disinfectant mixed in.

Cask handpump at ’Hole in the Wall’ Waterloo, London. Mid brown bitter, hardly any head to speak of, starts off wonderful with plenty of hops and spicy flavours kicking around but after a while I found it a little too sweet and realised it was’nt quite as good as I initially thought, nonetheless it’s a good effort.

Cask@GBBF04’. A very cosmetic green weedy flavour exists throughout, which totally spoils the beer, some caramelly malt is noticed aswell, a bit odd.

Half pint on cask. Dark brown body with short-lived head. Marked dried fruit and spicy aroma. Herbal flavour with hints of dark berries. Nice bitter finish. Extraordinary and quite good (Served at room temperature at The Hole in The Wall, Waterloo, London 18.09.2006).

Cask, the Cock, Luddesdown. Big characterful pub in the middle of nowhere. Meeting place for motor bike clubs since the 1940's.<bl> Beer has huge malty impact with bags of flavour including ancient rancid oak. Sweet and sticky with a well chewed peanut finish. Quality fades after initial impact as the balance shifts toward the sour notes.

Cask at the Hole in the Wall. A very average Enlish bitter, with both maltiness and some bitterenss from the hops, but nothing here to lift it above the crowd,
