3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
330 ml bottle in Germany. Pours a fairly clear dark gold color with a very full off white head. Aroma is strong malt and sweet medicine. Taste is is rather mellow and sweet for a Heller Bock and takes you through a rollercoaster ride of flavors before ending in a dry staleness as a palate. Very nice but like most beers from this country strange.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
From age-old notes. Forced a bottle of this down for a rate. Available pretty much anywhere in Lux. Golden with massive head. Sickly malts and the same hop mix as most Lux beers. Fruit is disjointed. Yeastiness and some spices. Taste is malty, caramel. Dusty dry palate. Alright.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle, thx to fonefan. A dense, finger-thick off-white head sits patiently on top of a clear, golden body. The aroma leads my thoughts to Belgium rather than Germany, at least itís a very Belgium influenced bock. Fruity and sugary with a spiced yeasty touch. Quite nice though. The same goes for the flavor, which as the aroma leads my thoughts to Belgium. Lacks on bitterness. Full-bodied, almost sticky, yet quite dry-ish. A quite nice one but fails to pin the style, at least if itís supposed to be a bock beer. Havenít deducted points for that miss though. 110219

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle 330ml. @ home.
Clear medium orange yellow color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, flowers, moderate yeasty, spicy, coriander. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, spicy, coriander, light peppery. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. IMO aroma and flavor is witbier alike or Biere de Garde .. not a bock beer !

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle at home. Clear golden pour, foamy white head. Aroma of sweet slightly spicy malts and some Belgian hops. Flavor is sweet and spicy malts and somewhat bitter hops. Quite thick body and lively carbonation. More like a tripel than a heller bock. Not that bad though.
