I think this may well be the best blond-style beer around: It’s got great spice, a lot of body and heart, and just the right degree of carbonation. I tried this in Luxembourg so it may have been the conditions. Still, a real winner.

Bottle. Sweet peach malt and astringent aroma. Golden yellow color with nice head. Peach malt and astringent bitter flavor. A nice heller bock.

Bierkrug (2131) - Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Bavaria, GERMANY - APR 14, 2011
330 ml bottle in Germany. Pours a fairly clear dark gold color with a very full off white head. Aroma is strong malt and sweet medicine. Taste is is rather mellow and sweet for a Heller Bock and takes you through a rollercoaster ride of flavors before ending in a dry staleness as a palate. Very nice but like most beers from this country strange.

altonbrownd (3756) - Brussels, BELGIUM - JAN 9, 2013
Bottle at Grand Hotel Cravat. Malty amber body with heavy head. Nose is sprightly, bitter and citrus. Taste has nice citrus push to it, with some malts and wheat. Very well done.

Bottle. Very hazy golden with off white head. Aroma of straw, yeast, honey, peaches, lemon and a hint of bananas. Sweet flavour with lots of maltiness. There’s a decent amount of bitterness as well to make this beer acceptable as a thirst quencher. it does taste a bit more alcoholic than it is, which leads to me drinking it a bit slower, thus making me able to last as if I was 17 again. Hats off to a beer that makes me feel young, but overall this is just an above average beer. Most interesting beer I’ve had from Luxembourg though.

Bottled, thanks Björn! Pours out in a clear golden colour with a small white foam. Malty and rather yeasty aroma of white bread, mild flowers, hay and toffee. Medium-bodied with notes of nuts, hay, cookies, salt and white bread. Tangy finish of flowers, nuts and grass. Quite good!

Bottle at home. Clear golden pour, foamy white head. Aroma of sweet slightly spicy malts and some Belgian hops. Flavor is sweet and spicy malts and somewhat bitter hops. Quite thick body and lively carbonation. More like a tripel than a heller bock. Not that bad though.

33cl bottle. Clear golden with a foamy white head. Sweet with some spicy malts and some hops. Medium body with high carbonation. A very decent beer.
