3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 jonas (4588) - Garching b. München, - MAR 10, 2011
Bottle. Sweet malt aroma, light fruity, molassis. Dark red claret, low head. Berrylike base, light pine hoppyness, quick dry finish. Light sparkly mouthfeel. Light roast aftertaste. Pleasant enough, in a blind tasting I would have put this down as a fruity Dunkles.
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 kevnic2008 (1637) - Baden-Baden, GERMANY - MAY 1, 2012
Pours amber with a half inch white head. Aroma is caramel. Flavor is slight straw and caramel.
1.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 BlackHaddock (1709) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - APR 25, 2012
Brown 33cl bottle, bottled 14 Oct 09, drank 15 Dec 09. Poured into a Veltins badged stemmed tulip glass.
Looked quiet promising, large tan head sat on top of a brown beer with red hints when held up to the Christmas lights.
No aroma what so ever, not even a hint of hop, malt or yeast, let alone any Christmas type spices or flavours.
Fizzy and tasteless, what a let down, malty but boring, dry from the start and with no sparkle or Christmas feel to it.
Thin and with no redeeming features I could find, a huge disappointment.
1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 Koelschtrinker (7034) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - JUN 2, 2011
Schlecht! 9/6/5/4/8/5
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 RoyceH (1153) - Hesperange, LUXEMBOURG - MAR 11, 2011
Bottle, some time over the winter, somewhere in Luxembourg (maybe the Christmas market). Sludgy brown. Floral, some sherbert. Some cloves and soapy hops. Cinnamon. Finishes over-carbonated and thin. Sadly, one of the better Luxembourg christmas beers.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Grima (1572) - Saarburg, Rhineland-Palatinate, GERMANY - DEC 21, 2010
330ml bottle!
The beer in glass is very discreet brown, with a creamy, large head. The smell is malty and roasty, comes close to a Bock beer.Starts malty, subtle sourish in background, also pleasant roasty. Theaftertaste is fruity and slightly tart, slightly roasty. Finish is bitter-dry Quite ok, but (as was the Christmas Bofferding Béier) too much sour.

bottle. Clear deep bronw colour, large beige head. Malty, roasetd malts, chocolate and caramel are presents, as well as some spices such as clove. Nice.
1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 MesandSim (7109) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 24, 2010
A Mes rate: bottle at the ever brilliant Chris O’s Pre GBBF Extravaganza. Murky brown with no head. Floral and very soapy. Sickly sweet, lots of vegetables. Vile.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 SHIG (2702) - Anchorage, Alaska, USA - MAY 12, 2007
Bottle: Poured a reddish brown in color with a froathy head. Sweet roasted malt aroma. Taste was similiar and sweet roasted malt. Not the top of the heap as far as x-mas beers go.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 MiP (11783) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - FEB 18, 2007
Bottle, 5.5%. Nice dark red brown colour. The flavour is rather alcoholic. Otherwise a little like a malty strong lager.
