   AROMA 3/10   APPEARANCE 4/5   TASTE 5/10   PALATE 2/5   OVERALL 9/20
JorisPPattyn (7722) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - NOV 14, 2006
Orange-gold, slightly paler than the Edelpils; very fine, dense, snowwhite head as whipped eggwhite. Not buttery - this time definitely a whiff of diacetyl, bit of arachideoil as well. Sweetish-bitterish beer, with both a dryness and a sweetness that seems more or less alcohol-related. Diacetyl seems gone from the taste, rather caramel, malty. Quite slick, gristslickness, seems again somewhere cheap adjuncts. If the quality of these beers has come over from Esch, then the closure is not to be regretted. However, if they’re responsible for this poor excuse of a beer at Bofferdingen... I’ve never had the originals, mark.

thebeertourist (4664) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUN 29, 2006
Bottle. Clear light amber colour with a medium-sized white head. Spicy hop aroma and somewhat malty nose. Malty flavours offset by floral bitterness, yielding a dry, clean finish. Rather light-bodied and fizzy. A decent pilsner from Luxembourg.

UPDATED: MAY 5, 2006 0.5 L bottle, ’bbe’ June 06. Clear amber, a scarce number of large bubbles, frothy white head that doesn’t hold long. Hop aroma: cheesy, summer meadow, a bit metallic. Taste: dry, a lot of hop character - grapefruit, tea, quite bitter aftertaste. Medium body.
