3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 crosamich (199) - Naples, Florida, USA - APR 16, 2012
Base beer seems like a solid saison but not too crazy about the roses. This beer pulls off what JP intended-floral, barely fruity/sour but drinking the whole 750 was tough.

Bottle. Batch 1019 (Feb 2012). Brownish pink with a frothy head. Funky dry rose hip tea. Well blended floral notes. Hints of red fruit. Quite fizzy. Good balance of sour and bitter. Similar to other Jolly P but still unique.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 wnoble (693) - French Lick, Indiana, USA - APR 6, 2012
Pours deep amber to red. Draft pour lended zero head. Nose is tart with vibrant fruity esters flowery notes faint malt notes given its color even some raspberries in there. Flavor is strong but pleasant fruity character, some mustiness, and a very dry and tart finish. Light and drinkable body. Not bad but lacked a little intensity. Just so so on every corner. didn’t really stand out.

Bottle from Batch 1, January 2011. Pours an orange/pink color with frothy head. Aroma is slight funk with rose and floral notes. Taste is brett funk with some zest, flower and slight sour notes. Light and dry mouth feel. Overall, a very nice saison/sour that really hits the spot. The price is a little high but a solid beer for special occasions.
