MoritzF (3883), Ruhrpott, Germany Jul 25, 2006 (bottle, many thanks to EithCubes !) Hazy and cloudy orange-golden colour with a short but firm creamy white foam. Slightly sour wheaty and fruity (citrus, green apples) aroma with a tinge of coriander and salt. Moderately sour and slightly salty flavour, light bodied, well carbonated mouthfeel. Citrus-fruity and quite wheaty taste with light notes of coriander; rather dry, lactic sour and fruity finish with a light blend of coriander spice and a very pleasant salty aftertaste. Well balanced, pleasant and refreshing.
DerWeg (442), Tronna, Ontario, Canada Aug 18, 2008 On draught at weird potato restauraunt in Leipzig. Aroma begins slightly sweaty and spitty amid the sourness, very biological taste, seems sour dry thin at first. Cloudy blonde, very llittle head, tanky flavors. Then halfway into glass emerge finishing flourishes of sour strawberry almost like rhubarb. Astonishingly different beer. Challenging and good. Seek this out wherever you may in this area. DSG (867), Yuvalim, Israel Aug 8, 2008 (6/22/08) Draught at Ohne Bedenken in Leipzig. Hazy golden with a big white head with slowly-bursting bubbles. Aroma of wheat and some coriander and citrus. Sourish flavor with wheat, some lemon, coriander and light saltiness. Medium-bodied and a very rounded mouthfeel. Very good and refreshing but I would prefer a Berliner Weisse over this. yespr (6889), Copenhagen O, Denmark Jul 13, 2008 Updated: Jul 14, 200850 cL bottle, trade with kappldav123. Pours hazy orange with a slowly collapsing and white head. Mild citrus fruity aroma, mild infection perhaps? Flavour is mild milky, slight metallic and citric. Orange fruity mixed with salt. Ends citric and mild salty - quie tasty and worth some time.
RBESG2008: as Ohne Bedenken Originale Gose. Mild cornish aroma mild spiced. Salty flavour with a mild cornish note. Quite unique and tastes like saltwater mixed with a slight milky touch. Ends light acidic and cornish yet with a distinct salty sticking taste.6-3-6-3-13=13 thewolf (3959), Kolding, Denmark Jul 13, 2008 Bottle @ the RBESG08 Grand Tasting.
Pours pale golden with a small, creamy film head. Aroma is light, rather malty with some honey and citric notes. Fin carbonation, okay mouthfeel. Flavour though, is not as impressive, lightly sour, salty and with a good citric tartness in the end. Doggythedog (1018), Split, Croatia Jul 10, 2008 RBESG08 grand tasting Gotta love the bottle (thanks DSG!). I finally get to try this elusive style. Poured a hazy golden body. Herbal, honeyish nose. Salty, somewhat sourish yeasty and spicy taste. Odd and yet great in a way.
