Clear brown color, no head. Sweet, bread scent. Very sweet sirup taste. Thick mouthfeel, low bitterness.

Another alcohol-free drink from Bauska. Dark brown. Something from my childhood. When my dad brewed home-beer. Taste of maltose with water was so sweet and well drinkable. Veseliba is same. It not beer, it not kvass. Nostalgic.

Sampled at Gothenburg Beer Festival 2008. Deep brown, no head. Syrupy and insanely sweet.

500ml bottle. Presumably, this is a traditional real brewed kvass. This is not a soft drink, it’s even got sediment in the bottle. Dark brown, barely lets any light through at all. Aroma is of pure malt loaf - rich sticky sweet malt, and it’s even buttered - yum! Taste is very rich bready malt, even richer than the aroma would indicate. Alas it’s supersweet, which stops it from being a drink you’d want to drink in quantity. That’s the only downside. The finish is black treacle and malt.
