500ml can (Rimi, Tallinn)
Clear red, sudsy head. Very sweet caramelly aroma - this is clearly just an ordinary ESL or ML that they’ve added a pile of caramel to. There’s some booze in the nose too - definitely ML rather than ESL. More booze than 7.9% should offer up, I’m sure. Taste again sweet and caramelly, some fruity esters - cheap brainf*ck stylee. So full of caramel that it slides down fairly easily, it’s certainly got a big bold body, even if it’s unsophisticated in the extreme. Alcohol not too dominant in the taste, which is surprising, considering the aroma. I’ve certainly drunk worse.

Can. A clear deep red beer with a huge ans quite lasting beige head. The aroma is not very strong and is sugary, sweet, with notes of alcohol, but not terrible as feared. The flavour is very sweet, really too much, and industrial, with cereals, sugar and alcohol. Medium to full body, lively carbonation, quite long sweet cloying finish with light bitterness. Probably the best Bavaria, but impossible to finish the 50 cl can.

Forte.

Dark amber with interesting head of foam - pleasing to the eye. Grainy fruity brew with a nice malt character. There’s is a good element of caramel sweentness to it too. Undertones of wheat are great as well. However, it’s a bit too dry and the spice angles throw everything out of sync.

From can. Mahogany in colour, crisp appearance with a slight off white head. Rich tasting beer. Some fruit in it. Not what I was expecting so was actually a little bit pleased. Only just a little bit.
