Bottle. Nice golden beer, good malty aroma and some fruity flavor. Little bitterness at finish. Cerveja Dourada, com aroma maltado e um sabor frutado, um pouco amargo no final. Boa cerveja!!

Golden coloration. Dense, but not persistent cream. Aroma and palate with a certain complexity that is not typical of the Lager. Floral notes and fruts, with damson plum presence. Interesting for an Lager…............................................ Coloração dourada. Creme pouco denso, mas persistente. Aroma e paladar com uma certa complexidade que não é típica das Lager. Synthetic-looking bright orange appearance. Generous hop aroma gratefully masks the high alcohol content. The alcohol flavour is very sweet, almost gaggingly so, with a rye-whiskey-like finish. Might taste better on the rocks.

Can , 7.9%. Clear copper colour, very small head. Quite clean flavour. Peppery and not too bad. No veg, just a little caramel.

canned. big whiff of alcohol but thankfully its bark is a bit worse than its bite. quite a fizzy and full texture, some honeyed sweetness, hints of metallic bitterness, plenty of metho

UPDATED: AUG 28, 2008 Trata-se de uma cerveja encorpada e com personalidade. Maltada. O álcool é perceptivel - afinal ela é uma sete ponto nove - mas não agride tanto o paladar.

Pours a golden-orangish color with a decent foamy head. Spicy and fresh on the nose. It is the first malt liquor I’ve tried, but it seems to me that it is pretty much like a european strong lager. It tastes sweet malts, a lot of grain and cereal. It is actually not as strong as I thought it would be (I could drink a lot of these). Good palate... I really like this beer, just don’t get why it is rated so low. Overall, sweet full-bodied malty beer.

(Apparently it’s specially made for the French market and the Beer Store on George Street, ’cause this looks pretty much like what I’ve got, except my can says "strong imported" instead of "special.) 500 mL can. Gold, with a touch of orange, and thin head. Mild grassy aroma. Very sweet, with the alcohol very apparent on the finish. No hops to speak of. Not pleasant.

Got this special French version while I thought it was the normal one. Bottle at home. Tasted better then I expected, I mean it’s a Malt Liquor...
