0.5l can. This one came rushing out of the hotel room fridge, landed on the floor and started squinting all over the hotel room.. Managed to save some in my glass though. Good mornings, this is a crystal clear golden one. A fizzing white lager head that quickly demolished into nothing. Smells strong, boozy with metal and cork tones. A bit of nice sweetness also here, strong malt sweetness. Not that good in the taste. I mean it is what it is, a strong pale lager meant to get you drunk. Oily above average. Metallic and boozy mess. 09.08.2014

Can shared with friends. Clear golden one with a medium sized white head on top. Liquorique nose. One dimensional aroma ruled by alcohol escorted by honey malts, mouthffeel is slick to oily. Short, sweet liquorique finish underpainted by harsh grassy hops. Not my brew.

Tiszta, mézszínű lager egy mézzel édesített élesztős, enyhén fűszeres illattal, sajátságos belga/holland aromával. Az ízvilág meghatározó komponense természetesen a 7,9 % alkohol, ami kissé talán tolakodónak is tűnhet, felkészülve azonban élvezettel fogyasztható. Tipikus belga ízvonal, mely talán kevésbé képez megingathatatlan egységet, mégis kielégítően malátás és komlós jegyek karolnak egymásba, hogy összességében az átlagosnál egy árnyalattal magasabb élvezeti értéket eredményező, tetszetős összhatást képezzenek.

Botella de 33 cl de el c. Ingles. Normal.

I have a beer sitting near me that is around 12% abv. Next to it are two beers around 9% and others over 8%. With this in mind I don’t know why I have had trepidation about reviewing this beer. Perhaps is that this beer isn’t a Quadrupel, an Imperial Russian Stout or Imperial IPA. It is potentially designed to be misleading and has a reputation for being the drink of choice of the piss-stained hairy-arse who is abusing traffic and is actually some sort of reclusive millionaire heir that his family has been looking for for twenty years. Big, golden lager with a fluffy white head. It tastes like its 5% younger sibling but contains a threatening unctuous alcoholic warmth to it that, if I’m honest, could be a lot worse. It finishes with the nod that it is is your classic pale lager, but will nut you if you look at its sister. One can will do for me for the time being I think.

Can at a house party. 7.9% version. Sticky sweet malt aroma. Body is medium, pretty foamy. Taste is tangy malt, some pure ethanol. OK.

Can from Centra, Mohill [250714]
Golden, clear, frothy white head, some lacing
Aroma of light malts, some soft light caramel, soft corn syrup, dab of alcohol
Taste of light caramel, soft light caramel, dab of corn syrup, slight fruits, alcohol noticeable
Palate - medium carb and body, quite sweet, alcohol. Finish as main flavour, warming alcohol, a bit rough
Overall - Only had a couple of mouthfuls, wasn’t as terrible as I thought it would be
