Commercial Description:
This is a classic beer made with special malts and raw materials that produce its amber color, as well as its body and rather dry, light character that distinguishes it from other dark beers. In contrast to the general perception that traditional dark beers are bitter and “heavy,” Bavaria Dark has very different characteristics, due to its hops content. Bavaria Dark was launched in 2001.

Mild grain and yeast aroma. Clear light brown color with a small off white head. Malty aroma throughout. Light palate.

Refer to my review of Cerveza Imperial and then add the following: "Slightly darker than Cerveza Imperial."

Probably the most flavorful local brew you can get in CR. The problem is when you’re in CR you want a beer that is light and refreshing! Nonetheless, this beer has good malt (caramel), light sweetness, and is smooth. Not bad for a mass-produced 3rd-world brew!

350 ml can enjoyed immediately after "The Congo Trail" Canopy Tour / Zip Line in Guanacaste Costa Rica. Pour is clear brown, darker than I would have expected - much like cola. Head is one inch and tan. Aroma of malt and sweet caramel. Taste is the maltiness, sweet and grainy with a nice clean finish. The sweetness has some fruit to it, but it is actually pretty nice. Palate is thin, and a bit more mouth coating then I would have liked. Overall, this was easily the best beer I had on my trip to Costa Rica.

canned; courtesy of DomTom - clear and bright colour under a persistent and firm beige foam; aroma of biscuit and cola; sweet and thin malt body with a light tartness; corny and caramelish aftertaste - very poor

Can from TBone, thanks! Dark brown color. Malty caramelly aroma. Grainy sweetish caramelly flavor with apple. Somewhat thin and sticky, but not unpleasant.

Appearance: similar to coke. Little and beige head. Aroma: sweet smells with caramel’s and vanilla’s reminiscences. Light herbal aroma. Flavor: some insipid, light caramel notes and some metallic. The dryness is some chemical. Candy and sugary aftertaste. Palate: light body and high carbonation. Remark: bad beer.

buena presentación, es la segunda mejor de CR despues de la 1460 que es edición limitada, además tiene un aroma suave y un color dorado claro que no es perfecto pero es bueno,
