tarjei (1741), Bryne, Norway Mar 2, 2008 Updated: Mar 6, 200835 cl can, tasted at Řlkonsortiet, thanks to Maria. ABV is 5%. Brown color, off-white head. Average beer with some sweetness, a bit watery. NosirIwont (1162), Aalborg Vestby, Denmark Feb 29, 2008 Can. Thanks to Maria for sharing. Pours clear brown with an off-white head. Sweet, malty aroma. Notes of cereals. Some alcohol there as well. Flavour is sweetish and malty. Faint plastic notes. Feels thin/watery. Dry, light bitter finish. Alcohol. More ‘bite’ here than in the initial flavour. 29-02-08. patty26 (95), New York, New York, USA Jan 20, 2008 Pours a brownish color, similar to a disgusting bus station toilet bowl. Smells like tin and tastes like tin. I loved Costa Rica, but don’t go there for the beer. thechandler (268), Morgantown, West Virginia, USA Jan 14, 2008 Drank from bottle. Aroma was slightly bitter and slightly sweet. Taste was malty with a hint of hops. Not bad, but very average. One of the better choices if you’re in Costa Rica though Saarlander (1577), Saarlouis, Germany Oct 24, 2007 Thanks to Aaron for bringing this brew from Costa rica! A lighter Schwarzbier, but not bad, mellow, some slight roasted flavor, otherwise an average bier, not bad though, quite drinkable! My favorite Costa Rican brew! rane (493), Nibe, Denmark Oct 22, 2007 Bottle. A suprising beer dark brown with aroma with notes of malt and bread. Taste a little like danish hvidtoel (cant remember the english word, pardon me). Ramenen (453), San Salvador, El Salvador Oct 6, 2007 The best of Costa Rica so far. Pours into a red/ brown color with a brown head. Very malty at the beginning, then no flavor, lost............. JoeMcPhee (4893), Jackson Heights, New York, USA Jul 7, 2007 12 oz can. Dark brown beer with a light brown head. Aroma is all pale malt with a hint of molasses. Very boring for a beer that claims to be a schwarzbier, but is clearly a pale lager with colour added... and not even a very good example of that.
