Sep 17, 2001 The dark counterpart of Bavaria Gold. Beautiful dark brown/black color. It is rather malty and not very bitter. Roasted malts do not really come through. I like Gold better but this is a perfectly respectable brew.

May 1, 2006 Clear dark brown, with a big foamy beige head. Malty, toasty aroma. Hint og rye and toast, with a mildly bitter finish. Perhaps a hint of cola in the end, too.

May 13, 2008 Can from TBone, thanks! Dark brown color. Malty caramelly aroma. Grainy sweetish caramelly flavor with apple. Somewhat thin and sticky, but not unpleasant.
