Thanks to Jack for the bottle. Crystal clear light gold, thin white head. Nose is a bit skunky with lightly toasted malt, some lemon, a hint of orange, small dollop of butterscotch. Flavor is light malt at first, club soda, some hay/malt. Very watery finish.

1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 ben4321 (2213) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - DEC 5, 2011
Location: 12 oz bottle from Colonial Wine and Spirits, 12/5/11, This one is such a tick, it is almost embarrassing, Prince definitely would NOT say that this is how you party like it’s rating #1999. I’d like to apologize for that joke, but I couldn’t help myself...
Aroma: At first it smells a bit like a skunk, but then it turns just a touch of grassy. Honestly, that grassy hop aroma saves this one, because originally I hated it. It still isn’t good, but atleast it isn’t all skunk and grain.
Appearance: Pours a completely clear piss yellow color that doesn’t look appetizing, good lacing at least.
Flavor: The flavor is somehow a mix of grains, corn, vegetation, and metallic notes, not a good combo
Palate: The body is rather light and crisp, it is really watery, and it has a fairly unpleasant mouthfeel to it
Overall Impression:
Man, this one leaves one of the worst first impressions of all time. I’ve never cracked a beer before and looked around to see what died! Terrible! Somehow though, I decided to give it another minute, and the aroma improved enough to make the beer palatable. I would definitely not recommend this one.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 JaKeAFC (201) - ITALY - MAY 28, 2011
UPDATED: DEC 22, 2011 Italian-labeled "Bavaria Classica", alc 4.8%, 66cl bottle at 0.89€, cheap. Wow, this is a skunky one! Cristal clear light yellow, fluffy white head, lively carbonation. First hit is skunk, herb, bread. Overall: grains, a floral note and moderate hoppiness. A bit metallic. Sweet taste with a moderate bitter finish. Smooth, light body, average carbonation. Oily palate, has the bad habit to get foamy in the mouth while drinking. This is one of my favorite session beers because of it’s simplicity and drinkability, great in its price range. Had one after a walk in the hills nearby, and it was a bliss.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 frankenkitty (1958) - Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA - MAR 28, 2011
Bright golden yellow, minor carbonation, under a fast-fading, fluffy white head. Lager yeast aroma, light metallics, low herabls, and NO green-bottle skunk! Mild, pleasant flavor... grainy, fruity and herbal all at once. Smooth yet slightly thick on the palate, wishing for more crispness. Nothing too exceptional here, but quite drinkable. ~~~~~~~~~~~ A review from yesteryear found in a lost notebook. Single bottle carried overseas for us from our good friend (and German connection), Jill.
2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20 crossovert (2777) - Wisconsin, USA - FEB 12, 2011
UPDATED: AUG 30, 2011 11.2 ounce bottle from Aldi, a store that I knew had some beer but never checked it out. I figured they would only have German stuff but they had this (Klassiek), a German pilsener, and some beer from Guatemala or some South American County. Only 5.99 a six pack for either. Best Before 02/2010.
After I pop the cap open, skunk. This beer smells exactly like Heineken. Theres a pinch of hops and metal.
Its about as crystal clear pale yellow as a beer gets.
It has prickling carbonation with a slightly watery mouthfeel. Doesn’t seem as dry as other Dutch pale lagers. Initially has some intense bitterness and a metallic aftertaste. Theres a little bit of malt, not very good tasting grainy malt. The bitterness mellows the more you drink of it.
If you looking for a cheaper, more bitter, slightly crappier Heineken, than this is a good bet, at only 6 bucks for a 6 pack it’s not a bad price, I’m not sure if I would go back to it again, maybe for parties.

1/11/11. Bottle courtesy Cavie! Clear golden pour with a small white head. Plain sweet corny aroma (surprised it’s not skunked) with a plain grainy flavor with a watery finish. Surprisingly decent.

(330ml bottle best by 7-2011 thanks to Cavie) clear very pale yellow with soapy white bubbles. Nose is skunky, sugar, lemon zest. Taste of sugar, raw grain, oily body with soft carbonation. Didn’t taste any major flaws, but certainly not very good either.
