2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Koelschtrinker (7034) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - JUN 21, 2011

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Kristall-König (1624) - Oldenburg, GERMANY - MAY 24, 2011

Bottle (thanx to MoritzF): Golden coloured, medium-sized creamy white head, lively carbonation; faint fruity (bananas, cloves)- wheaty nose; faint sweetish-sourish flavour, light bodied; short grainy, fruity finish. Really not unpleasant, but kind of tasteless..........

(bottle) Slightly hazy, pale golden colour with a big and persistent white foamy head. Sweet and slightly sourish malty nose with a strong yeasty note but a faint banana-like fruitiness. Sweet and slightly sour flavour; light to medium bodied with a smooth carbonation. Strong yeasty and malty taste with restrained fruit- and wheat-character; slim and rather short finish with traces of bitter hops and light clovy notes.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 hayduke (2526) - Eureka, California, USA - JUL 6, 2006
In Aschaffenburg, Germany from a bottle. After drinking the dunkel the bistro owner warned me this might taste a little light. It did pour light yellow with a mediim white head. But it measured up very well. Nice aroma of light malts and fruit. Very clean palalte, and smooth going down. Very refreshing. I admit I may have been better off if I had not been tasting the other Bavaria offerings first, but I really liked this. It will be interesting to see what others think as this only has two other ratings. But I liked it. A lot.
2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 MrRomero (1964) - Nolanville, Texas, USA - APR 4, 2006
500ml bottle" poured light yellow with a medium sized creamy white head. Extremely light yeast aroma with a tad bit of banana esters. Not much by way of flavor either. I may have had a hard time identifying this as a weizen if I didn’t know it. Maybe my palate was altered by the Licher Hefeweizen I had before. This had a very slight cardboard, stale refrigerator taste to it. Drinkable but not by much.
