1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Based on the way it was marketed, I didn't expect much. Therefore I was not all that disappointed. It doesn't taste that bad - just doesn't taste that good either. In fact, it hardly has any flavor at all, except from the additives. Very little aroma, practically no aftertaste, etc. Maybe a decent summer beer, refreshing when served ice cold, but not worth the premium price. I added an extra point onto the appearance because I do like the packaging. Presentation is not everything, but it's worth something. (The label does not peel off as easily as in the ad though, and the Brazilian swimsuit model was nowhere to be seen.)

1.6 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20
UPDATED: DEC 26, 2003 As others say, very disappointing, but it was all expected except the semi-surprising spices from mild hops that make it more interesting than say... Sol. Body while thin is creamier than a corona's

yeah I like corn but not in a beer. Bland water with molson's trademark "stink"

1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bah, a light summer beer made by molson to compete with Corona. Hopefully, its not as bad. Corn nose, corn taste, no after-taste.

1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Pale gold colour with a fully diminishing fizzy white head. Lemony, skunky aroma. Honey sweetness up front, bland finish. Typical macrolager.

1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
UPDATED: SEP 4, 2003 They've been hardcore pushing this Brazilian version of Sol here in Canada, a marketing scheme that seems fairly successful thus far, although not among actual beer lovers. The watered-down-urine appearance is evident through the "cleverly" clear, label-less bottle. There's almost no smell, no head, and no relation to its German namesake. It has some body at first, and it is rather complex for a cheap Molson brew, but all the flavours are nasty. Starts sourish and ends with sweetish corn syrup notes. Otherwise bland and inoffensive: just enough hop flavour to categorize it as beer, as opposed to slightly alcoholic tonic water. Easy drinkin'.

0.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20
Gold colour with a skunky aroma. What flavour there was was of corn and all of that other wonderful stuff you get in this type of crap.

Not as bad as people have been making it out to be. I was extremely skeptical and then pleasantly not nauseated by the light and uneventful taste. If you like MGD, you'll enjoy Bavaria (thats what I've been telling people). Nice summer beer.

1.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
Why why why? Why do I do this to myself. I will finally get Brazil for my list, but at what cost to my soul? Pukey yellow; white fizzy foam. Skunky bad nose, which is wuite surprising for a South American beer in a clear bottle. Boring and bad. Watery and lifeless.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Another white beer. Minimal head. Free bottle opener. Very light grassy aroma. Slightly sweet (corn?) flavour. Very little hops (or anything else). Smoother than Corona and more interesting than water on a hot summer day. Not sure why Molson takes such excitement bringing this up to Canada.
