strings (361), Sydney, Australia Oct 23, 2007 Bottle. Extremely boring beer. A bit sweet and cordial-like. Watery. A 12 pack costs as much as a 6 pack of something decent... probably the latter is a better deal. IrishBoy (2685), Bakersfield, California, USA Oct 19, 2007 Bottle says Bavaria Holland Beer; brewers website calls this bottle Bavaria premium; Nose is grassy and grainy; pale gold with a small white head; flavor slightly sweet and a little caramel malt with a tiny bit of hoppiness. yespr (11645), Copenhagen O, Denmark Oct 19, 2007 50 cL can (as genuine imported Bavaria beer Holland, bought in Italy). Pours pale yellow with crispy white head. Slight sweet malty aroma. Flavour is malty with decent portion of bitterhops, very very minor fruity note sticking through. Ends dry malty with little bitterness. blankboy (3157), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Oct 18, 2007 Can courtesy of HogTownHarry. Not looking forward to this. Pours a clear pale gold with a large diminishing foamy white head. Not fresh aroma of grain, sugar, adjuncts, honey and faint floral hops -- could be worse but could be much better. Mild, sweet flavour of grain, bready malt, light hops, fake-ish honey and a somewhat harsh finish, you’d almost think it was high in alcohol but it’s only 5%. Light bodied. Far from the worse but it’s bland, slightly too sweet, unbalanced and a harsh finish -- does not make for a very good beer. pumpmaster (473), Pembroke Pines, Florida, USA Oct 13, 2007 12 ounce bottle purchased in Broward County, FL supermarkets. Good for the price. HenrikSoegaard (4263), Randers, Denmark Oct 12, 2007 Updated: Feb 8, 2009Bottle. Frothy white good mostly lasting head. Pale yellow colour. Week bready aroma. Light sweet and bitter flavor. Not very pleasent. Short light bitter finish. Watery palate. Maybe one of the worst dutch lagers? Gregis (1132), Shawnee, Kansas, USA Oct 1, 2007 Pours a sparkling clear gold with tons of rising bubbles and a loose, frothy white head that diminishes quickly. Decent lacing. Skunk on the initial pour; shocker given the green glass. Given time, however, the aroma clears to reveal a lightly sweet macro-esque lager nose with just a whisper of dry grass in the background. Light-bodied and slick with a dry, lightly bitter and somewhat metallic finish. A sweet malt front with a lightly bitter end that lingers far too long for my liking. For a lager, it’s not awful, but it certainly doesn’t inspire me to drink another. jerc (3861), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Oct 1, 2007 Can from LCBO. Yellow body with a small white head. Odd aroma is strangely floral hops, with light alcohol and hint of not so fresh grains. Bland flavour is muted sweet macro grains, light doughy bread notes. Average to thin palate. Not awful but not particularly good either. 5/3/4/3/9
