Sten (288), Westerlo, Belgium Mar 3, 2007 Golden coloured beer with a small white head. Very weak aroma and flavour. Probably one of the most boring lagers I ever had. (Bottle 34cl my version is brewed in Bavaria Breweries South-Africa) rmussman (905), California, USA Mar 3, 2007 A traditional dutch brew. Nothing special however nice and smooth. Kind of feels like a macro brew of Holland as it is cheap however has a nice taste. I recommend, but if you can choose something else do so. CaptainCougar (5379), Rockville, Maryland, USA Feb 26, 2007 Pours a bright clear golden with a thin-lacing wispy white head. Aroma of slightly skunked earthy hops and pale grain with just a hint of sweetness. Starts lightly sweet with some faint toasty biscuity notes and a sprinkling of Saaz hops. Body is pretty thin and watery without much character at all. I guess this would be refreshing on a hot summer’s day, but otherwise, it gives Bavaria a bad name. daniel0017 (232), Ontario, Canada Feb 25, 2007 Light aroma of floral hops, quite nice. Light foamy head that dissipated quickly and left nice lace. Flavor was sweet and malty with a dry finish. Mouthfeel was well carbonated, crisp and lively. Not bad stuff (definitely not pilsner) but comparable to most north american macro lagers. mike1977ok (633), Netherlands Feb 22, 2007 Quite mild aroma, golden yellow colour with thick foamy head. A good tasting Pilsener that is not overpowering in any individual flavour but offers a good balance overall. It’s got enough sweetness to not to destroy the pallet after a few bottles making it a great session beer. Taste very clean but not in a chemically way. One of the better Dutch Pilseners and the best value of the premium brands. faroeviking (6016), Republica Vikingo de las, Faroe Islands Feb 14, 2007 Bottle. Yellow with a short lasting bubbly white head. Weak aroma of grains and malt. Flavour is slightly malty, grassy and grainy. Slight bitter finish. An ok tasting straw beer. berkshirejohn (1759), Bracknell, Berkshire, England Feb 12, 2007 Updated: May 2, 200766cl bottle from Morrisons. Looks like a typical lager; good aroma of fresh grass; crisp and fresh in the mouth a notable bitterness; short clean finish. Far better than the other widely exported mass market Dutch lagers. Grovlam (3790), Copenhagen, Denmark Feb 6, 2007 Can. Head was spare to small with a white slightly frothy sparkle. Spare lacing. Clear slightly sparkling body. Color was pale yellow. Aroma was light hay, straw, grass and cardboard. Light bodied with a thin texture and an average carbonation. Light sweet flavor with light notes of bitterness. Short finish.
