apkerga (11), Arizona, USA Mar 25, 2006 Light malt flavor. Light to moderate hoppy aroma which seemed a little grassy. Head was average sized and frothy white that had decent longevity. Light to medium light body with medium carbonation. Light bitterness and slightly sweet finish. frink (467), coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada Mar 17, 2006 Yellow, thin head. Grassy hop aroma. the taste is typical pale lager, thin fizzy with some bittering hops. Better than some examples. jpm30 (1588), East Central, Georgia, USA Mar 14, 2006 From a 12 oz. slender narrow neck green bottle with a coded freshness date on the back label. Made a good appearance, poured a clear pale golden with a nice white fluffy head, good carbonation. Had a good dry grassy aroma with hints of lemon and honey. A crisp, slick light bodied mouth feel, above average drinkability. Had a good sweet, dry grassy and grainy taste, a sweet mild bitterness, and a dry grainy finish.
Sincere (145), wichita, Kansas, USA Mar 13, 2006 12 oz bottle, pours a very pale yellow with a thick white head. Active carbonation. Smells both sweet and skunky equally. The taste starts off sweet with an almost non-existent midtaste, ending with a slighty malty finish that leaves next to no aftertaste. The mouthfeel is very watery and bubbly. A very plain and uninspiring beer with just a tiny skunky kick. CStar17 (14), New York, New York, USA Feb 25, 2006 My bottle says Bavaria Holland, not Pilsner. I like it! Simple, tasty, very clean finish. No palette. Trev (850), Lakeville, Minnesota, USA Feb 25, 2006 Can: Pours a pale yellow with thin white frothy head. Aroma is light and grainy with a touch of hop. Flavour is also very light and watery with a slight bitterness that lingers on the tongue for a moment then fades to a clean finish with virtually no aftertaste. BobbyW3363 (154), Birmingham, Alabama, USA Feb 22, 2006 Clear yellow; small white head. Sweet grainy, weak aroma. Flavor is of bland corn, water, and not much else. Not nearly enough hopiness to give this beer any decent flavor or character. Pretty much no finish. This beer sucks. It’s not undrinkable, but it sucks. Actualy tastes a lot like Coors Light, but somehow less hoppy.
By the way - "premium lager" is NOT the correct nomenclature for this beer. If Harp falls under "pale lager", then so does this. Harp is about the same color and WAY better. What does "premium lager" even mean anyway? raymow (738), Bensalem, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 17, 2006 Along the lines of Heineken. Also has that typical, green bottle, slightly skunky flavor - but overall, not too bad. I’d go with Heineken 1st, but this would do.
