Hawksfan17 (717), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 24, 2005 Paris - Hoppy nose after the gold pour. Good hop taste which was slightly sour. Goes down smooth and was another nice beer for rounds. DuffMan (2721), the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, Canada Jun 19, 2005 Yellow gold out of the bottle, decent head. Terrific aroma of hops and grass, but very disappointing on the palate. Bland and watery compared to the nose. This is the same rating and description I gave Hollandia. There are many other better Dutch beers. jigglyjock (159), Seattle, Washington, USA Jun 16, 2005 Doesn’t have that nice skunky smell or after-taste. Which makes it extremely drinkable. It is lively carbonated and quenches my thirst after a hot day in the sun painting. ashbeero (51), Perth, Australia Jun 7, 2005 Light golden-yellow very clear beer with white, thin but average lasting head. Nice light malt aroma with very mild hop notes. Nice malty flavour with a slightly sweet, clean finish. Mild bitterness and light bodied. Bit plain but excellent for drinking a lot of. Huttenkloas (1), USA does not count Jun 2, 2005 light sweetness, lightly bitter, lightly sour, light body, thin feel, average carbonation, no aftertaste it’s like water. hopscotch (5440), Vero Beach, Florida, USA May 30, 2005 Bottle... Clear, deep golden lager with a large, fizzy, white head. The aroma and flavor pretty much mirror each other... clover honey and lemon. Medium-bodied and oily with fizzy carbonation. Crisp, lightly sweet finish. Better than expected! Hunsell (400), Amsterdam, Netherlands May 22, 2005 Another not enjoyable Dutch pilsener. Aroma is hard to detect, taste is more bitter than in other Dutch pilseners, but it’s truly not a nice, crisp clean hopbitterness. Tastes slightly skunky and old. Mklein818 (165), Etterbeek, Virginia, Belgium May 12, 2005 This is poor-man’s Heineken, a Netherlander lacking much charm, finesse or je ne sais quoi. It’s a bit on the cheap side, and better than many of the Americans in the same price range. It’s more clean than harsh. But is life is too short to drink bad wine, it’s too short for Bavaria.
