nick76 (2634), Tampa, Florida, USA Jan 30, 2005 Even though a lot of people here want to say it has no backbone I detected hops taste to mine. The problem was that it seems somewhat astringent. It does have an unusual sort of a skunky smell and I am not sure if it is truly skunky or what. The only interesting thing about this beer is the hint of citrus in the aftertaste. I guess you could say this one has more in common with Mexican beer than it does with most European beer. kumite56 (461), Cordova, Tennessee, USA Jan 5, 2005 Clear, gold . light head. Grassy hopps aroma with litth in the way of backbone or hopps. Why bother. NoiZe (1288), Mooi Zeist, Netherlands Jan 4, 2005 It’s a pilsener to drink if you are not able to drink any better beer. Smells not good, but tastes a little bit better. Sticky aftertaste. Jine (889), Nutley, New Jersey, USA Jan 1, 2005 I kind of wanted to hate this beer. But I really can’t. Its kind of bland and average, but not bad. A little better than Heineken actually, which is sort of the benchmark for Hollish macros KarmanGhia (276), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Dec 31, 2004 Updated: Mar 20, 2005Yes! I bought this because I hadn’t had that wonderful skunkyness of a pils in a while, and, man, I wasn’t disappointed. This is the skunkiest nose I’ve ever experienced! The tastes are all mild but consist of butterscotch, light breadiness, and a bit of lemon pepper dryness on the back of the tongue. What can I say? Perhaps, "I hate pilsners." empiman (21), shawnee, Oklahoma, USA Dec 22, 2004 Nice beer, good flavor from hops. Reminds me of Heineken, which I don’t mind either. Not bad.... Pailhead (2572), Allen Park, Michigan, USA Dec 14, 2004 Bottle: Skunky malt aroma. Pours a pale yellow without much of a head. Sweet up front. Finishes lightly sweet, lightly bitter, and lightly skunked. Just a light flavored beer all the way around. Brewmaster88 (53), Petrolia, Ontario, Canada Dec 13, 2004 I bought a sixer of this a while back and didn’t mind it. Nice golden colour but thin head. Not bad for a clear bottle beer (imported) but I really can’t see myself buying it again, not very interesting.
