Pours a pale straw coloured hue with good carbonation and a fluffy head. Well hopped corn and malt taste with faint citrus flavour. Not too bad. (500ml can)

330ml bottle from The Beer Store. Pours pale to golden yellow with a sparkly effervescence. Quite highly carbonated but not sharp on the tongue. Head is white and long lasting with nice lacing. Aroma of bread and hops. Nice malt and hop balance throughout, with as much or more body than most lagers sold in this country. Definitely better than it’ fellow Dutch lagers Heineken or Grolsch commonly found here. Priced the same as the common macro lagers ie: Canadian, Blue etc so I think I will grab this one next time instead.

Well, nothing horrible here and nothing fantastic either. This beer really can swing either way depending on how it was stored. Luckily, I seemed to have gotten a decent bottle because it was quite enjoyable and quite drinkable. I think it’s on the same page as a Tuborg (not quite as tasty) and much better the Heineken, Grolsch, Oranjeboom or other lagers from that region. Aroma was a bit malty with lots of rice coming thru. Appearance was a clear golden with a nice white head. Mouthfeel was a little harsh with average amounts of carbonation and a bit on the thin side. Flavor was grassy, malty, a bit sweet, quite crisp and quite refreshing! If I was throwing a party and wanted to maximize my dollar/beer/quality ratio then this really would do nicely!

<!-- i -->Bottled:<!-- /i --><!-- br --> Light bitter, herbal aroma. Pale golden color. Quite ok pilsener. Light spicy, bitter pilsener. A bit sourly, not very impressive all in all.

12oz green bottle. a party leftover...I was told this was purchased because it was even cheaper than PBR cans! The pour is about the same as the PBR...less head and less lace though...maybe just a shade deeper color. Aroma is not nearly as offensive as the PBR...mainly because I can’t really smell anything! Maybe just this very faint hop presence...very faint. Faintly hopped and a touch of malt shows up...the finish is better than the PBR...I don’t get that grossly sweet corn lingering...it does finish crisp and quick. Not bitter though...there is still some sweetness, but it tastes like malt rather than corn or something worse...Maybe good for a quick quencher, but not much to get excited about here.

Clear yellow appearance from all directions, due to a very thin, filmy white head. Smells of sharp, sulfuric DMS and mildly skunky saaz hops. Fizzy, bland, almost flavorless up front, really not even noticed until the finish, which isn’t so bad as is it boring and expected. Semi-sweet corn syrup and bitter honey flavors on the back, though fairly mild. Was expecting worse, but honestly this is quite drinkable if the goal is simply refreshment, when really anything cold and fizzy would hit the spot.

500ml can. Golden colour, sticky, clingy white head. Malty, bready/grainy nose, hint of hops. Clean malt flavour, notes of grassy hops, some bitterness in the finish. Medium carbonation, light body.

Looks and smells the part of sour corn beer. Pleasant surprise, however, seeing as the beer is actually rather sweet and refreshing.
