Another not enjoyable Dutch pilsener. Aroma is hard to detect, taste is more bitter than in other Dutch pilseners, but it’s truly not a nice, crisp clean hopbitterness. Tastes slightly skunky and old.

This is poor-man’s Heineken, a Netherlander lacking much charm, finesse or je ne sais quoi. It’s a bit on the cheap side, and better than many of the Americans in the same price range. It’s more clean than harsh. But is life is too short to drink bad wine, it’s too short for Bavaria.

Prugel (13) - NETHERLANDS - MAY 12, 2005
light sweetness, lightly bitter, lightly sour, light body, thin feel, average carbonation, no aftertaste it’s like water. But gives a headache.

in the style of heineken and those other european lagers. tastes nothing very distinctive and really leaves a lot to be desired.

very heineken like beer, not as good though goes down pretty smooth but still has a very skunked smell and a rough aftertaste. still drinkable

Zinister (1417) - Houston, Texas, USA - MAR 15, 2005
Pale gold with a thin white head. Pretty friggin’ hoppy smell for a lager...which I personally like. Really not bad at all....great after mowing the lawn or just hanging out.

Good looking lager, pale gold with a fine white head. A strange aroma dominates, hoppy??? perhaps!!! Light in flavour and on the palate. A refreshing style of lager, I don’t think it’s meant to be taken too seriously. Well chilled, this is OK stuff, better than another mass produced "lager" from Glasgow.

Pigs Piss comes to mind. Sickly sweet sugars overburdon any chance of malt or hops coming through. Sampled this one in Australia, marketed as "Bavaria Premium". Still the same shite lolly water under a slightly different name.
