Can. Pale yellow with small off-white foamy head, yeasty aroma, sweetish malt taste, low carbonation, abrupt finish. Very similar to most generic pale lagers.

Op de tap bij "de bank " te helmond. Goudgele kleur. Witte schuimkraag. Eerste smaakimpressie : waterig, lichte smaak van banaan, lichte smaak van fruit. Waterige afdronk.

smells like a pilsner should....taste is a little more malty and hoppy/bitter than most pilsners....not bad though....very middle of the road/average...just like the mix of malt and hops

Backlog. Bottle from Systembolaget. Your regular international lager, slightly higher in bitterness than some. Moving on.

330 ml can as "Bavaria Holland Premium Beer" bought at Prize Mart in Shek Wui Hui, Sheung Shui.

Piss pale golden yellow colour; One-quarter finger head and soapy white foam which fades in 30 seconds; Moderate lacing with notable small carbonation; Light and sweet aroma of malt, with light syrup and molasses, very light floral, buttered French toast and faint grass; Very light sweet taste of malt, with light floral, wheaty dryness, molasses notes, bread, dry biscuits, lemon, light grass, and moderately sharp bitter hops; Close to light body. Slick and crisp palate; Mouth feel is light Pilsener base, with richer than macro Pale’s maltyness, good floral, wheaty dryness, near-zero sweetness. Bready and biscuity. What a nice surprise!... Hoppiness is faint grass nose, lemon and light grass in taste; Bitterness is moderate and has the characteristic Pils-like sharpness and astringency for a lasting bitter finish; Quite dry after taste. Bitter and crisp to mouth.

Comments: This was picked up for just US$0.50, and I cannot believe how nice a macro Pilsener it is - fragrant French toasty aroma, dry crisp body, non-sweet flowery biscuity taste, and a very hoppy, near German Pils-like bitterness - who say you can’t find nice gems from macros and this is a fine examples. Nice bargain and a definite keeper!
