| 1.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Jun 13, 2004 Appearance: crystal-clear yellow color, with a smallish white head.
Aroma: sweet and cornish, what there is of it, typical lagery smell, with only the faintest whiffs of citrus, flowers.
On palate: sweet, clean, brisk, and actually kind of tasty. Light body. Absolutely no finish, it vanishes as soon as you realized that it was there!
Texture, what there is, dies quickly, too. A simple sweetness resides in the back of the throat, until it croaks, too.
Sweetness continues, to the point of unpleasantness. I do like sweetness in a beer, yes, but only when accompanied by hops, malt, body, texture, taste, etc. Mouthfeel, body, everything is quite forgettable. That serves some people fairly well, but not I.
Not that bad, actually, just not very good. And, lucky me, I chose a pint can to sample. Wee, wee, wee, all the way home!

Aroma is kind of a celophane-like plastic, but other than that nada. Hardly smeels like anything made of a beer ingredient.
<P>
The body is a bright gold, clear and supports a fairly lasting white head that is frothy, but mostly composed of varying sizes of bubbles.

Watery fore is mostly flavorless before it finishes with a lightly sweet malt note. Not worth your time or money. It does have a somewhat decent mouthfeel for the style, but since it tastes of so little what is the point? zach8270 (2152), Henrietta, New York, USA
| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Apr 20, 2009 (bottle - 12 oz) Clear gold color with a fizzy white head. Aroma is bitter and majorly skunky. Flavor is sweet and malty with some hay and incredibly bitter hops at the start. Finishes sweet and relatively smooth. Just hard to get past the skunky smell.
