Bottled. Golden colour, mediumsized white head. Sweet malty nose. Sweet maltish flavour with some hoppy notes. A bit mouthdrying. Also some hints of grass and caramel in flavour.

This is poor-man’s Heineken, a Netherlander lacking much charm, finesse or je ne sais quoi. It’s a bit on the cheap side, and better than many of the Americans in the same price range. It’s more clean than harsh. But is life is too short to drink bad wine, it’s too short for Bavaria.

Yellow gold out of the bottle, decent head. Terrific aroma of hops and grass, but very disappointing on the palate. Bland and watery compared to the nose. This is the same rating and description I gave Hollandia. There are many other better Dutch beers.

Bottle. [thank you Skortila/caesar]
Pours clear golden with a medium, fizzy, frothy, off-white head. Aroma is grainy sweet, some lemony notes and green apples. Medium carbonation, rather thin and watery. Still, it maintains a fair dryness. Flavour, though, is mostly non-existent. Sweet and malty with a slight underlying grassy hops base. Still, it’s better than it’s 2.19 suggests.

AS Bavaria Classica @ Italy. 66cl bottle. Pours clear gold with a off white head. Nose is moderate malty and hoppy. Grain and hay. Quite dry. Watery mouthfeel. No off flavors but quite boring.

Fine party pils - drinks like water with nothing to make it complicated. Very smooth and ’warm’ taste with little bitterness. It’s really like eating old-fashioned bread - the kind with lots of yeast.

500ml can: Golden under a dissipating white head. Sweet malty nose with notes of hops and grain. Grassy flavour with brewing cereal. Thin with minimal bitterness.

Bottle. Malt aroma with a fruity note. Golden yellow colour with white head. Slightly sweet malt and fruit flavour with a nice hops aftertaste.
